FAQ Archives

During my absence as the Alt.Vampyres FAQ Keeper, there seems to have been a proliferation of FAQs. The last version which I published and which was housed on my website at the time, was Version 4.3.  Upon my abrupt disappearance, Jetgirl became FAQ Keeper and revised the FAQ, thus changing it to Version 5.0.   Jetgirl handed the wheel to Kitsune and, at the present time, Kitsune is maintaining Version 7.0 .

Over the years, the original FAQ has evolved to a point where the subject of "vampyres" has been pushed down the ladder, being outweighed by sections devoted to dealing with ill-mannered wannabes, those claiming to be the 'real-thing', etc.   Due to this unfortunate fact, long-time member, B. J. Kuehl has developed what she calls the 'Vampire' version of the FAQ. One in which the vampyre is, once again, the main subject addressed. In addition, B.J. has also created 2 more FAQS which deal with subjects directly related to this newsgroup.

The Vampire Literature FAQ deals with novels, anthologies, authors...etc....the vampire 'literature' that is discussed daily within the newsgroup. The Dracula FAQ deals with the truths and myths regarding DRACULA. Created by B.J., this FAQ also has made use of the knowledge of Dr. Elizabeth Miller, an alt.vampyres 'elder', who is also a noted expert on the subject of the "real" Dracula.

Taking into consideration what seems to be happening at the present time, it is my opinion that since I created this domain to be representative of Alt.Vampyres, the displaying of a single FAQ would be an injustice. Therefore, those visitors who come here, wishing to view FAQs, will think they have died and gone to heaven, because I have ALL of them!

For those who don't wish to take the time on-line to read the HTML versions, below are links to the text files for download.
